Can someone pick up my badge for me?<\/summary>\n<p>You must bring your identification and confirmation to the Disabled Services desk in person. We can send one of our runners to pick up your badge while you sit in our waiting area.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>My spouse has mobility issues. Can I pick up their ADA badge if I bring their I.D.?<\/summary>\n<p>No. They must be there in person and show identification.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>What documentation do I need to provide to get an ADA badge?<\/summary>\n<p>We do not require documentation. We require honesty.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Where and when can I pick up my ADA badge?<\/summary>\n<p>Disabled Services is located in Lobby A of the San Diego Convention Center and is scheduled to open at noon on Wednesday, and at 8:30 am on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>What is the best time of day to avoid waiting in line for an ADA badge?<\/summary>\n<p>Mornings are the busiest time at the Deaf and Disabled Services desk. A couple of hours after the Exhibit Hall opens, the wait time improves. The later in the day you come, the shorter the wait will be; however, you will miss more of the event.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>I already have my badge. Where do I go to get an ADA sticker?<\/summary>\n<p>Early in the morning before the lobby opens, on the sidewalk outside Lobby A, the line to the left of the A door is for Deaf and Disabled Services. ADA stickers will be given out here before the lobby doors open. For other services, please stay in line. <em>After<\/em> the lobby opens, ADA stickers, badges, scooters and all other services are available inside.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Can I get an ADA sticker at Tuesday badge pick-up?<\/summary>\n<p>Yes, ADA stickers are available in Lobby A. You can also pick up your ADA badges in Lobby A on Tuesday, but no other Deaf and Disabled Services will be available until Wednesday.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>I broke my ankle and will be using a knee scooter. Can I get an ADA sticker to attend programs, and will my friends be able to sit with me?<\/summary>\n<p>Yes, you can get a sticker and seating for your attendant, but the rest of your party will have to wait in the general admission line. The ADA sticker does not guarantee access to programs.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>I have a certified emotional support animal to help with my disability. Will my animal be allowed to accompany me?<\/summary>\n<p>No. The Convention Center does not allow emotional support or comfort animals. An attendant is present only to assist the attendee. You can purchase a badge for your attendant in the attendee badge sale. At the convention, take your attendant and their attendant badge to the Disabled Services desk in Lobby A to register your attendant.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Where do I go to purchase an Attendant badge?<\/summary>\n<p>If you were unable to buy an attendant badge in the badge sale, the Disabled Services booth can give your attendant a coupon to take to the Lobby A RFID booth, where an attendant badge can be purchased. Once you have the badge, return to the Disabled Services booth for the attendant hang tag.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Will security allow my unbadged attendant inside the Lobby door?<\/summary>\n<p>Yes, you must enter through the <strong>Lobby A<\/strong> door, and go directly to the Disabled Services desk. Badges or badge confirmations are needed to enter at all other doors.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Can I register my attendant on Tuesday, or do I need to wait until Wednesday to do that?<\/summary>\n<p>Sorry, you must wait until Wednesday to register your attendant.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Are there any restrictions on where my attendant can go?<\/summary>\n<p>Since your attendant has a paid badge, your attendant can accompany you and share in all of your experiences.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Before the show, I purchased a 4-day badge. My attendant purchased badges for three of the days but was unable to get a Saturday badge. What should I do?<\/summary>\n<p>You and your attendant should go to the Disabled Services desk in Lobby A. Explain the situation and they will be able to arrange for you to purchase a Saturday attendant badge. Are Interpreters available for smaller panels too?<\/summary>\n<p>Yes. You may request an ASL interpreter for other Program rooms at the Deaf Services desk in Lobby A.<br>We will do our best to accommodate your interpreter needs, but occasionally, due to limitations beyond our control, we may not be able to accommodate all requests.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>I am very hard of hearing, but I do not sign. Am I eligible for an ADA sticker, and can I sit closer so I can hear better?<\/summary>\n<p>Yes, you are eligible for an ADA sticker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In large Program rooms, the sound systems are loud enough that sitting closer to the stage is not necessarily louder. Our interpreters can only assist you in Comic-Con\u2013related areas, such as the Convention Center, Comic-Con Museum, at Comic-Con activities in hotel event spaces, or at our Library programs.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>I am a deaf guest panelist. Can I request an interpreter to assist me while I am on-site?<\/summary>\n<p>Upon request, the staff at the Agency desk will do their best to provide you with an interpreter during your panel. For those with mobility issues, Disabled Services can send a runner to pick up your badge (but cannot buy one). Exhibitors assess their own needs so ADA\/wheelchair access points are at the discretion of the exhibitor. The line itself must be ADA-compliant, but not every exhibitor will have a separate ADA line. If you do not see an ADA line, ask the staff if there is one. Do not start your own line.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Where do I go to get a Hall H wristband?<\/summary>\n<p>This information is published as a tip on the Toucan Blog within two weeks before the convention. On-site, the information is available at the Disabled Services desk in Lobby A.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Are there ADA accommodations for long line waiting?<\/summary>\n<p>The first 1\/3 to 1\/2 of the Hall H ADA line is located inside the lobby of the Convention Center in carpeted and climate-controlled areas, but also be aware that the rest of the Hall H line is outdoors, and may subject you to many long hours in the sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your attendant can hold your place in a line, but you must be present to take your place in line when it is your turn to enter.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>I cannot stand for long periods and I do not have an attendant. Can I request someone to stand in line for me?<\/summary>\n<p>Sorry, but Disabled Services cannot provide placeholders for lines.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Why don\u2019t you have a tent for the Hall H ADA line, like the tents in the grassy area?<\/summary>\n<p>The Convention Center does not allow tents or structures in that area. The ADA Hotel Shuttle is only for mobility-impaired hotel guests who made reservations through the onPeak hotel reservation system via the Comic-Con website.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>I have an onPeak Hotel reservation for Comic-Con. Is it right in front of the doors?<\/summary>\n<p>The ADA Hotel Shuttle is no longer allowed to drive up in front of the Convention Center. The rest of your party must wait in the general admission line. We will do our best to seat parties with children together, but this may increase your wait time in line.<br><strong>Deaf seating<\/strong> areas have YELLOW-back chairs in the front of the room. They are available in the larger rooms.<br><strong>Ambulatory seating<\/strong> is available in all Program rooms for those with ambulatory issues that require devices such as walkers, crutches, canes, knee scooters, casts, etc., or for those with other mobility-related issues. These seating sections have RED-back chairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All seating, including ADA seating, is \u201cas seats become available.\u201d While Comic-Con meets or exceeds all ADA seating requirements, all event and program rooms have limited capacity as set by the fire marshal. Even though your badge is needed to get into all events, it does not guarantee you access to any event if it has reached its capacity. We do not clear rooms between events.
